LOCAL VILLAGE CHARACTER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CITY
In Berlin-Biesdorf, a district that has retained its village charm despite its proximity to the pulsating metropolis, a very special romance unfolds. The days flow more slowly while you are accompanied by the rhythm of nature. Winding residential streets are home to detached houses and well-tended gardens, where the roses bloom in all their glory in summer and the trees spread their green leaves like a protective canopy over the footpaths. Together with its neighboring villages of Kaulsdorf and Mahlsdorf, this is Germany's largest contiguous area of single-family homes. And with excellent accessibility via the surrounding underground and suburban trains as well as the B1/B5 federal highways. Pure quality of life!
TRANSPORT LINKS
The local public transport infrastructure is well served by the subway station Biesdorf-Süd, which is within walking distance of the subway line U5 (Hönow - Hauptbahnhof) and the bus routes 190 and N61 to S Wuhlheide / Elsterwerdaer Platz. With the help of the U5, you can quickly reach connections to the S5, S7, S75 and regional trains from Lichtenberg station. It also serves as a direct feeder line to Berlin city center and takes you to Alexanderplatz in around 30 minutes or to the Gardens of the World in around 8 minutes in the other direction. The bus line also offers a direct connection to the Volkspark Wuhlheide and the Biesdorf-Center for shopping, sports and other leisure activities.
Via Köpenicker Straße, you can reach the B1 federal highway within 6 minutes by car and the Adlergestell or the B96a within 19 minutes by car. In the future, the Tangential Connection East (TVO) will bring further traffic relief for Biesdorf-Süd and, among other things, lead more quickly to the research and education center in Adlershof.
The multi-lane federal highways and connecting roads will take around 25 minutes to Alexanderplatz (Berlin-Mitte) and the new Berlin-Brandenburg Airport (BER) for additional vacation trips. In addition, the adjacent industrial estates and the nearby TESLA site support the positive economic development of the surrounding area.
EDUCATIONAL FACILITIES
The district of Biedorf has ten daycare centers and two elementary school, a secondary school, a special needs school and two high schools. The European school Lew-Tolstoi-Grundschule and the private university bbw are also within easy walking/cycling distance, as is the Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences, Germany's largest university for social work, health, education and training (SAGE for short), which is around 17 minutes away by car in nearby Hellersdorf.
