Potsdam is now known far beyond the borders of Brandenburg and Berlin for its charm and attractiveness. The cultural landscapes were added to the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List in 1990 as the largest ensemble of German World Heritage Sites. As the former residence of the emperors and kings of Prussia, with its unique palaces and parks, the city also impresses today with its exclusive quality of living. Potsdam consists of 2/3 green spaces and the waters of the Havel.
The living conditions are highly valued. The population has grown from under 130,000 in 2000 to 187,000 today. The urban life of the metropolis of Berlin and the advantages of Potsdam are prompting more and more people to relocate to the state capital.
Potsdam-West is a colorful district full of contrasts that complement and enrich each other wonderfully. This is where East meets West, old and prefabricated buildings, the banks of the Havel meet Sanssouci and young families meet sprightly senior citizens. As different as the district appears on the outside, the residents are united in the neighborhood. The district stretches from the city center to the Wildpark, the western edge of Potsdam, and from Sanssouci Park to the banks of the Havel. There is one thing above all in this district: lots to discover.
The listed estate is located in a quiet street, only about 200 m from the Wildpark recreation and nature area and approx. 1 km from Sanssouci Palace Park. The estate stretches across Sonnenlandstraße, Forststraße, Im Bogen and Immenseestraße and offers a historic ambience. Regional train, bus and streetcar connections are all within walking distance. Here, for example, connections to Berlin city center station Zoologischer Garten are possible in approx. 35 minutes. Potsdam main station can be reached in approx. 10 minutes. Facilities for daily needs can be found in the immediate vicinity as well as in the city center, which is about 3 km away.
