Kleinmachnow is a municipality with about 20,000 inhabitants in the district of Potsdam-Mittelmark in Brandenburg. The village is particularly attractive due to the predominant development of villas, country houses, and estate houses in avenues that characterize the locality and are lined with old stands of trees. In the past two decades, it has attracted mainly residents with high income levels.
The community is located between Berlin and Potsdam on the southern city border of Berlin, close to the district of Zehlendorf.
Within walking distance, the wooded areas and the extensive hiking trails along the Teltow Canal are inviting for walks. The nearby Machnower See is also a recreational area for the whole family. With all the advantages of a small community, Kleinmachnow presents itself as a high-quality and sought-after residential area for families with children just outside Berlin and has a high cultural offering. The main economic center of the community is the industrial park on the A115, the former Dreilinden border crossing. About 130 companies have settled at the EUROPARC Dreilinden technology and business park, employing a total of about 3,500 people. Kleinmachnow has four elementary schools, a comprehensive school, two high schools, a Waldorf school and the international school: BBIS as Berlin Brandenburg International School.
The local center at the Rathausmarkt offers urban comfort with numerous shopping facilities for daily needs. Bus stops of the lines 622 and 629 are nearby with connections to Zehlendorf, Potsdam, Stahnsdorf and Teltow. The freeway connection to the A115 can be reached quickly. From here, it is about 35 minutes by car to Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER). It is about 15 minutes to the Ku ́damm. The Potsdam city center as well as Berlin can be reached by S-Bahn S1 Zehlendorf / Mexikoplatz as well as lines S25/ S26 Teltow city as well as by car in about 15 minutes. The regional trains RB21; RE1 and RE7 will take you to the center of Berlin within approx. 35 minutes.
