Beelitz is a lovely and liveable small town with about 13,000 inhabitants just outside Berlin and Potsdam. With its first documented mention in 997, the town looks back on a history of more than 1,000 years, which is reflected above all in the historic townscape. Today, Beelitz owes its supraregional fame above all to asparagus, which has been grown in the town for 160 years on what is now around 1,700 hectares.
This grandiose attic flat is centrally located in Beelitz's town centre. The town offers a wide range of leisure activities. For example, hikes in the Beelitz Heath, plays and concerts in the historic Schmiedehof or the numerous festivals in Beelitz, such as the asparagus festival or the festival. Lake Seddin, which is only about 6 km away and, with its approx. 218 hectares, is the second largest body of water in the Nuthe-Nieplitz Nature Park. Several sandy beaches and clear water invite you to swim or windsurf. An approx. 10 km long hiking trail leads around the lake, which is also likely to be enjoyed by four-legged friends.
The supply structure in Beelitz is very good. Daily needs are met by numerous supermarkets, banks and restaurants. Medical care is provided by various resident doctors and pharmacies. In the area of child care, all possibilities are given: from day care centres, primary schools and secondary schools to grammar schools. Beelitz also offers many sights. One example is the historic town centre with the town hall, the post office and the old forge. The Beelitz sanatoriums with their approx. 800-metre-long treetop path are also a highlight in the immediate vicinity.
Potsdam, the capital of Brandenburg, is only about 25 minutes away by car and Berlin's Ku'Damm is only about 40 minutes away by car. The regional train station is only about 700 metres away on foot and provides a connection to Potsdam in about 20 minutes with the RB33. It only takes about 40 minutes to get to BER airport. Berlin and Potsdam offer all kinds of possibilities in terms of supply and culture, which are rare in this constellation throughout Europe.
