Kleinmachnow is an attractive municipality with around 20,000 inhabitants in the district of Potsdam-Mittelmark in Brandenburg. The town is particularly attractive due to the predominant development of villas, country houses and estate houses in streets lined with old trees that characterize the area. Over the past two decades, it has primarily attracted high-income residents and is one of the most exclusive residential areas in the Berlin metropolitan region.
The community is located between Berlin and Potsdam on the southern border of Berlin, close to the district of Zehlendorf.
Within walking distance, the wooded areas and extensive hiking trails along the Teltow Canal invite you to take a stroll. The recreational areas around the Großer Wannsee, Nikolassee and Machnower See are also within easy reach. With all the advantages of a small community, Kleinmachnow is a high-quality and sought-after residential area for families with children just outside Berlin and offers a wide range of cultural activities. The municipality's main economic center is the commercial area on the A115, the former Dreilinden border crossing. Around 130 companies have settled at the EUROPARC Dreilinden technology and business park, employing a total of around 3,500 people. Kleinmachnow has four elementary school, a comprehensive school, two grammar schools, a Waldorf school and the international school BBIS as Berlin-Brandenburg International School.
The town center at Rathausmarkt, which can be reached in just a few minutes, offers urban convenience with numerous shopping facilities for daily needs. From here, the bus stops for lines 620, 628 and 629 with connections to Zehlendorf, Potsdam, Stahnsdorf and Teltow are nearby. The highway connection to the A115 can be reached quickly. From here it is about 35 minutes by car to Berlin-Brandenburg Airport (BER). The Ku'damm in Berlin or Potsdam are around 20 minutes away. The micro-location is very favorable. Lake Machnower See, the connection to Stahnsdorf and the A115, the feeder road to Berlin, are just a stone's throw away.
